I’m watching the finale of Season 6’s Project Runway online (I don’t have cable). It is down to five, four will go on to Bryant Park. The pressure is on. It’s inspiring to watch knowing that this opportunity makes a career. The ability to continuously prove your point of view, your style and maturity in your own creation. It’s a snapshot of what life is like, well, actually a condensed version of life. In a few episodes, these random Americans become famous.
Regardless of the fame and fortune that is necessarily attached to the show, it is a dog-eat-dog world. I wondered, briefly, about fashion PR. My skill set has always been very niche, I think I created a brand for myself at my alma mater because of it. Now I am hoping to see what the world offers (I just don’t believe in limiting myself). Fashion PR. From what I hear, you need strong skin and a strong skill. I’m not afraid. It sounds similar to agencies. Shouldn’t this fear apply to all jobs and markets? You should always want to prove yourself. That’s how you get promoted, noticed, famous?

Shouldn’t everything you do make you famous? 15 minutes. 14:59 at best.
Just something to think about on a Sunday morning.
